Friday, July 29, 2005, 01:00 PM - SummerTechMan, this sucks.
Summer Tech is one week from complete, and I'm just now really getting into the grove of things.
Eating breakfast is habit for the first time in my life, I'm just finally memorizing everyone’s name (And I mean everyone,) and I was just pointed to a horrible character flaw I didn't realize I had. This Friday has been one of the longest days of my life, 90% was the best day ever and 10% the worst. I played my best round of Camper Strike, I made contact with some Machinima friends via MSN and had some nice chats, I called home and didn't get the "we miss you, come HOME! wrap," and most of all I had a wonderful (and long) dinner with two lovely ladies from Japan. (Which went extremely well, especially after the botched attempt earlier in the week, I owe it all to my wingman Lee, who never fails when it comes to the ladies.) The other 10% of the day I won't get into detail with, but it was clearly oversight on my behalf, and something I have to work on to evolve as a person and educator. Steve was right, you find your self here. Almost seems like it happened all at once, this summer has been like a great big movie, circa 1985. Complete with melodrama and ditzy music, if only in my mind.
My, it's been a reflective day.
And Good Luck on your karate belt test Saturday John! (Going for Blue Belt + Black Stripe)
P.S. Nothing major, but we got a letter from BioWare about a possible something something yesterday. w00t!
