Friday, May 12, 2006, 10:31 AM - EverythingMan alive, Nintendo really stole the show this year, didn't they? 27 playable games, a new innovative controller design, Mario and Zelda at launch? Somebody pinch me! The only big questions left are when and how much? Speculation is $199-$299, but it's probably closer to $199. No idea if it ships with any software, but there is a spiritual successor to Duck Hunt, and I really do hope it comes with. More.
I was half hoping that Sony would pull through for us as I started to enjoy the ps2 only just this last year, but at 600 bucks for the full featured beast, I simply cannot afford it! The tech demos they showed really did look awesome, I just hope that price was a bold faced lie and they drop that price a bit. Not only can I not afford the ps3, but I would feel absolutely horrid if I asked any of my family for one as a potential x mass gift. More.
M$ 360... ahh who cares. I'm still playing my Xbox 1 I got last November, enjoying discount titles like Ninja Gaiden and DoA Ultimate. More.
So what did I get out of e3 this year? Nintendo stole the show for the first time... ever, and Sony shot them selves in the foot for the first time... ever (strictly talking console games here!) and Microsoft continued in the background with nothing major to show aside from the two camera eye-toy clone. Booth babes had to cover up, but that didn't stop Ritual from acquiring the hotness.
In other news, just a heads up to anyone with a car at ST this year, be ready on June 30th to take me to the Whiteplains movie theater for a little Superman Returns.
