Life
Had the whole week off, and you know what I did?
Nothing.
It's been so slow that I cleaned the apartment on a Friday. Me, CLEANED! I got all of my clothes, all of the dishes, all of my Lexus. I had grand plans of production madness, shattered by sleeping all day. I kid you not, Thursday I slept clean till 2pm. I was so freaking pissed. I had doughnut plans and everything. I did find 30 bucks in my pocket though, kinda nice.
Mike ditched Texas for one reason or another and so my plans to head up to Waco for some SMB production was killed, and my sheer lack of will kept me from doing anything of my own. Every other night it's been raining. On the plus, all the extra sleep has generated dreams of freakishly awesome proportions, many of which I have written down. I had one rather realistic dream where I worked in a tiny tiny Manhattan office, on the night shift. They refused to feed me pizza with everyone else, or give me a break, even though I was the only one pulling any weight. They made me take the pizza trash out so I grabbed it and I quit on the way without telling them. (In hopes that they'd still send checks long after I left, they were pretty stupid after all.) I just tossed the bag in the bin and kept walking into the city. I woke up not long after walking out, I could tell the dream was about to take a turn for the weird.
We had a nice LAN party last weekend, Turtle came up from Austin and everything. We played a nice round or three of Action Half-Life to bring back the old-school memories. Turtle, Pepper and I had a 3 hour meal at Grandy's down the street, catching up on old times and attempting to pique Turtles interest in going to Tokyo with us. (He's such a randomly crazy funny guy that he alone would make the Tokyo worth all the crazy money involved.) He sounded interested, but I doubt he'd go. And no, even though it was way late, the nice folks at Grandy's let us hang out past closing without raising so much as a cough. They shall continue to have my bussiness.
